Top Ten Tuesday- Child Hood Unfavorites

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Where we showcase ten books within a theme. This week was Childhood Favorites. I feel I've done this more than once. So this week my personal spin are childhood favorites that everyone loved and I didn't or that I just never got around to reading.

Children's Favorites I didn't like

Caveat: Loved the original Disney Movie

Childhood Favorites I just never got around to reading or had no interest in

  1. I almost had Where the Red Fern Grows on mine but it’s so sad. And I remember I’ve read a little House but I can’t remember ever finishing. Great list!

  2. The Tale of Peter Rabbit is such a classic. Nice choice there.

  3. My dh abhors Winnie the Pooh, LOL. I liked Alice in Wonderland, but I think there's probably a lot that goes over your head as a child.

  4. I wrote a list of books, but now every blog I'm visiting today I see books I'd forgotten -- like Red Fern (how COULD I?!), Bridge to Terabithia, and Black Beauty.

  5. I like your spin on the topic! I don't think I read any of these as a child, but I have read several to my kids.

  7. Honestly, Red Fern is in roughly the bottom 10% of "old books featuring dogs" I would recommend to anyone of any age. But Tuck Everlasting, Black Beauty and Little House, I think are all fantastic.

  8. I didn't read the Little House books until I read them aloud to my own children.

This is an award free blog, I love the thought, but I just don't have the time.
Thanks!
