This week we are doing Top Ten Worlds we Wouldn't Want to
Live In. I wasn't sure they all had to be from books, so my last one might not
count.
This one was really fun for me.
Oz- This may seem silly but seriously,
even in the kids’ books Oz is in a constant state of political uprising. Yuck.
Panem Now I had no interest in reading
The Hunger Games, but after seeing the movie this so SO not a place I would want
to live
Gatlin South Carolina The setting of
Beautiful Creatures, having that many stupid castors in one town is horrible
for the life expectancy, crops and humor of all involved. Plus you would be
forced to see dumb or Lena, worse character ever.
Morganville Texas Again the life expectancy
in the Morganville Vampire series is not great, there is constant death, battle
and disaster like circumstances.
The world in Masque of the Red Death by Bethany
Griffin I can’t remember a name other than The Debauchery District- I
have no interest in living anywhere that can be labeled dystopian.
The World from the Chemical Garden
Trilogy dystopian shit house.
The Seven Kingdoms from Game of Thrones.
I don’t feel an explanation is needed here.
AU St. Louis from the Anita Blake books
you would never find a boyfriend, Anita is fucking or killing them all.
Sunny Dale- I have no interest in living
on a Hell Mouth.
i woudn´t want to live in Panem either. Nice list.
ReplyDeleteHere is My Top 10 Tuesday
Oh, Sunny Dale. That one completely skipped my mind. And Panem! That's a great one.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of the Morganville series, but never gotten around to trying it. But since there are vampires, it's easy to imagine why it's on this list.
How the heck did I forget Sunnydale?! The casualty rate there is just terrifying! Your list speaks of an admirable sense of self-preservation. :)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to live in Panam or Gatlin either. Oz could be interesting though. Thanks for stopping by my TTT.
ReplyDeleteOh, I haven't read your picks at all except Beautiful Creatures and contrary to you, I would love to be a part of that world. It's so bizarre, different, dark and magical. Great choices!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my post earlier. Happy reading!
