Top Ten Tuesday- Best Sequels

I am pretty excited about this week’s Top Ten Tuesday, cause it’s about sequels. Now normally sequels give me pause, you know another ahhhh great sarcasm moment. However I have read some really good ones! Here we go! Oh by the way…this is hosted by http://brokeandbookish.blogspot.com
Search for Dragons By Patricia C Wrede. Her books wind up in my lists a lot, but they are JUST that good. In this one we follow Cimorene as she meets the King of the Enchanted Forest.

Across the Great Barrier another by Patricia C Wrede- In this novel Eff travels west across the magical barrier that protects people from the dangers that lay ahead, both magical and not.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Nuff said

Ghost of a Smile by Simon R Green- just as scary and funny as the first

The Dead Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan- I am the first to say I am tired of Zombies, and I wasn’t that into them to begin with. I really enjoyed how this kept up the story, but with new characters.

Agents of Light and Darkness- Simon R Green, again, that man can write no wrong. If you like uncanny valley creepy and dark humor please pick up his night side novels.

Game Barry Lyga- this was a super good sequel to I HUNT KILLERS, not as great as the first, but still the characters were intriguing and the plot fairly thrilling.

Girl of Nightmares Kendare Blake- this was also a pretty good sequel to Anna Dressed in Blood, the sucide forest alone was enough to freak me out.

Fool Moon Jim Butcher, while I have lost some of my patience with Harry Dresden as of late, Fool Moon was a great sequel, nothing like urban paranormal fantasy.

Glory in Death J.D. Robb a.k.a Nora Roberts, but the writing style isn’t even close. The sequel put her hooks in me and I have been addicted to Eve Dallas and her world for years. If you want a futureistic crime novel and don’t mind a tiny bit of romance pick up the In Death series.
